My career spans nearly fifty years as a wooden boat builder, educator and Marine Surveyor. My  start in wooden boat building began at a traditional boat yard in England, and then in Maine, and now I have been in PT for 36 years, building , teaching and  helping wooden boat owners as a Marine Surveyor. I  teach each summer at The WoodenBoat School in Brooklin Maine, conduct surveys on the West Coast and Great Lakes areas for both commercial and recreational vessels, and do specialized wood working for select projects here in Port Townsend.
