Mark Zion had a successful 30-year career in the energy industry, and he continues to consult and teach in the areas of public policy and renewable energy.
Mark earned his bachelors and masters degrees at the University of Texas.
He is a life-long sailor and a member of the Austin Yacht Club and the Port Ludlow Yacht Club. He and his wife Diane have owned several boats and have chartered sailing in several states and countries.

Mark has been an invited guest lecturer at UT’s LBJ School, Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy, and Texas A&M’s European Union Center. He has spoken about energy issues and public policy at a variety of conferences and forums.
