Lisa Vizzini

Port townsend rigging
Lisa traces her interest in boats to a pond sailboat program at her elementary school in Westchester/Playa del Rey,California. She & her father finished and rigged a wood sloop which Lisa raced in a county-wide competition where she came away with a blue ribbon.   That experience sparked a passion that propelled Lisa toward a life working aboard and around boats.  Her sailing career includes double handed dingy racing, sailmaking, coastal deliveries, teaching, coaching adults, and rigging.

As a representative of Port Townsend Rigging, Lisa advocates for sail boat owners to “sail not motor” their boats. In her presentations she strives to empower and encourage sailors to understand wind and currents, and how to use the proper equipment to sail where they want to go.
