Esther Whitmore is the Lead Shipwright at Haven Boatworks;  Hawkins is a senior shipwright on her crew.  Between them they have racked up thousands of sea miles including the Irish sea, the Northwest passage, and both the Pacific and Atlantic seaboards of North America.  In addition to their deep knowledge of wooden vessel construction and repair, each bring decades of experience sailing various tallships, including Adventuress, Pride of Baltimore II, and Lady Washington.
