2023 Wooden Boat Festival

Join Jill McAnally and Kevin McConnell for a set of old-time country and western swing, blues & originals, all great songs for dancing and listening alike. Now that Jill and Kevin relocated from the Bay Area, we can enjoy their repertoire right here locally!              Long revered for their approach to country and western swing in California, in recent years, you might have seen Jill and Kevin instructing at the famed Lark Camp in the redwoods of Mendocino or performing at the El Cerrito Folk Festival. Both started performing when very young, and have had long storied careers in the music business, and perhaps due to her experience in ranching and almost a decade behind the wheel of a big rig, Jill was described in California as “perhaps our Bay Area’s most authentic female country voice.” Kevin McConnell also builds electric guitars, and he generally has a couple of them with him.
