Diana Talley and Ernie Baird spent 40 years working in the marine trades in Port Townsend. Both of them built their own boats, went commercial fishing, established their own shops, and trained many of the next generation working in Port Townsend today. They would like to acknowledge their debt to their teachers, express their gratitude for the folks with whom they worked, and express opinions that may or may not bear some relation to what actually happened.
