Puget Sound is the largest estuary in the United States (by volume of water), and plays a vital role in our region’s ecology, economy, and quality of life. And as any sailor knows, Puget Sound is a beautiful place to live and recreate. Beneath the surface, though, Puget Sound is in trouble. Fortunately, we have a plan to help-- and boaters have an important role to play!

We'll begin by describing the status of Puget Sound as a waterbody, while answering questions like:
-How's Puget Sound doing (and how can we tell)?
-What are the key challenges in recovering Puget Sound back to health?
-What gives us hope?
Then, we'll talk about the region's official plan to recover Puget Sound-- and more specifically, the actions that boaters can take to help!
