Author of the official biography of Allen and Sharie Farrell, Dan Rubin has collected and recorded the details of their life on the water.  With storytelling, readings from the Farrell's journals and boat logs along with live music, Dan will weave the wonderful story of a couple who lived the sailing dream, building 46 wooden boats by hand on the beaches of British Columbia and sailing offshore in the largest of these to California, Mexico, Hawaii and Fiji,  Details of the boats, voyages and how the Farrells lived are among the appealing details of a life that avoided consumerism, violence and the demands of civilization, by creating a life made with the work of their own hands. Join us for this inspiring story!
